Bacalhôa Buddha Eden is a vast Oriental garden located at Quinta dos Loridos, in Bombarral, considered the largest Oriental garden in Europe, covering approximately 35 hectares.
It was created as a symbolic gesture following the destruction of the Buddhas of Bamyan, transforming into a space dedicated to peace, contemplation, and cultural dialogue.

As visitors walk along its paths, they encounter monumental Buddhas, pagodas, terracotta statues, and numerous sculptures integrated into the vegetation, in a true fusion of art and nature.
To create this setting, over 6,000 tonnes of marble and granite were used, creating a large-scale outdoor sculptural work.

Ponds with koi carp, sculpted dragons, and themed gardens enhance the serene atmosphere, while areas of modern and African sculpture expand the artistic experience beyond Eastern aesthetics.
